The Union building has five rooms free of charge that you are able to book for your student group. We would suggest you attempt to utilise these resources first when looking for space to use. To look at the capacities and descriptions of each room follow this link. This will also provide information on University room spaces that students are able to book and are free to use. Please converse with the appropriate building directly if you want to book a University space.

Student Group Bookings

If you are a student group who would like to book one of the University rooms, please follow this link to our booking system which will give advice about the university spaces.

When booking a university space it is important to keep in mind the UPSU Student Group Code of Conduct and be mindful of staff that are working late as their presence allows you to be able to use the room. Attached below is a document of information detailing the opening and closing times of each university building. 

Make sure that the rooms are kept clean and tidy after your use and that you ensure correct provisions are made so that every member using the space vacates the building at the end of your booking and/or building closing time.

Individual Bookings

If you are an individual student with no affiliation to a student group who wishes to book a room for personal or academic reasons then please also visit the Union Shop and Reception or telephone them on 02392 84 3628 and they can book this in for you. Alternatively, please speak with a member of staff from the university building you wish to book a room in.
